Episode 6 – weather
In this episode Steve discusses how the weather has played an important part in his flight training, whilst working towards the UK NPPL pilots licence. As well as talking about the meteorology exam that must be passed as part of the syllabus, Steve goes into how poor weather disrupted his training and how he took advantage of weather windows in order to make progress with his training. As Steve is a microlight pilot, he operates from a grass airfield and not only was Steve grounded during poor weather days, but at many times for several days after some bad weather, while he waited for the grass runways to recover.
